1. Personal data that we process
The following table explains the types of data we collect and the legal basis under current data protection legislation on which this data is processed.

Performing DBS checks
Attending monthly prayer meetings
Making donations, including special appeals.
Claiming gift aid
Providing information about CHU and the projects it supports.

Name, address, previous addresses in last 5 years, date of birth, previous names, place of birth, nationality, criminal record.
Email and postal address
Name, address, email address, payment information
Name, address, signed declaration

BASIS
For those whose roles in CHU require a DBS check.
So we can send an invitation to you to join the meeting.
So we can fulfil your intention to donate to the work CHU supports
So we can fulfil your intention to increase the amount of money CHU can donate to the projects it supports by claiming gift aid
So we can we send you updates on CHU and the projects it supports
2. How we use your data
We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate considering the basis on which that data was collected, as set out in the table in section 1.
3. When we share your data
We will not share your data with third parties unless we have a legal obligation to do so.
4. How long we keep your data
We take the principles of data minimisation and removal seriously. Therefore we regularly review what information we keep to ensure that we only ever ask for the minimum amount of data and delete that data promptly once it is no longer required. Where data is collected on the basis of consent, we will remove it promptly upon receipt of the request to do so.
5. Rights you have over your data
You have a range of rights over your data, which include the following:
● Where data processing is based on consent, you may revoke this consent at any time. This is easy to do, you just need to contact us by email, letter or ‘phone (see section 8).
● You have the right to ask for rectification and/or deletion of your information.
● You have the right of access to your information.
● You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner if you feel your rights have been infringed.

If you would like to access the rights listed above, or any other legal rights you have over your data under current legislation, please get in touch with us. Please note that relying on some of these rights, such as the right to deleting your data, will make it impossible for us to continue to contact you about the work CHU is supporting or the activities CHU is arranging to support this work. However, where possible we will always try to allow the maximum access to your rights while continuing to make available to you the activities of CHU.
6. Modifications
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will publish the most current version on our website. If a modification meaningfully reduces a person’s rights, we will notify those whose personal data we hold and which is affected.
